I know you all signed up for a newsletter and not random missives. But these are tense days, and I want to share with you information that I think is helpful background to navigate the various narratives floating about. As I mentioned in my Memo, we have no business going to war or risking further destabilization for Ukraine. I cannot encourage you enough to read this piece by Lee Smith. Lee knows this history backward and forward, and more Americans need to understand it, too. Lee explains everything simply and succinctly, so this is an easy read whether you know the general background or are brand new. It is a great piece to share with friends and family.
